Bohemia in 1403: finding your character
CROWNFALL RP takes its setting from the recognizable Bohemia of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II in 1403, including places such as Suchdol. Familiar landscapes and medieval daily life give you a starting point for your own character's story.

Begin with a person
You do not need to invent a famous lineage or an exceptional destiny. An ordinary person can have strong reasons to travel, seek company or change their life.
Choose a few details that you enjoy playing. How do they greet strangers? What makes them cautious? What would persuade them to stay somewhere? Leave some answers open so that other characters can influence their story.
Three starting questions
- What did your character leave behind: a familiar home, a disagreement or simply a life that no longer suited them?
- What matters to them now: companionship, a good reputation or a place to belong?
- Where might their confidence fail: asking for help, admitting a mistake or keeping a promise?
Use the answers as conversation prompts and let the rest develop through encounters.
Use the setting without studying for an exam
Clear speech and curiosity are enough to start. Ask about unfamiliar customs instead of feeling obliged to know everything. A restrained period expression can add flavour, but you do not need to imitate a chronicle in every conversation.
Leave space for other stories
Give your character reasons to listen as well as speak. Someone seeking a fresh start might ask a traveller about the road; someone proud of their family might hesitate to admit they are lost. Small contradictions make an encounter easier to build together.
