Your first day in the world

Begin with your character, find your bearings and choose one useful first activity. You can follow the short orientation or take your own time to meet people and learn the area.
Your character
Begin with the account and connection steps. Rules acknowledgement uses your account username; the name you choose below belongs to your character. Reconnecting requires a new connection confirmation, even when your character already exists.
The starting sequence covers name, appearance, background, arrival point and a final review. A background tells the character's story; it does not assign a profession, rank or starting rewards.
Your full name must be unique within the selected realm. If it is already taken, choose another: changing only the letter case does not make it available.
Before confirming, check the name and all your choices. If the creation response is delayed, do not start again: wait for the outcome. When returning to the game, first check whether your character has already been created.
| Before confirming | What to check |
|---|---|
| Name | The complete name is the one you want other characters to learn |
| Appearance | The offered choices and final review match your intention |
| Background | The story suits your character, without treating it as a job appointment |
| Arrival | You have read the description of the selected start |
| Final review | All choices agree; correct a mistake before sending |
If an uncertain creation remains in progress, keep those choices and wait. Reopening the window does not mean the first request was rejected. Correct a taken name when the game explicitly asks for another name; do not interpret a delayed reply as that rejection.
If you are unsure how to continue, enter /help: a private reply shows the available topics. /help account explains sign-in and linking; /help character appears in the list when relevant. Use /language to choose a help language from those available.
Finding your bearings
The introductory quest “Find your bearings” provides two stops near the arrival point: arrival guidance and a meeting place. At each stop, read the guidance and confirm it to continue.
This optional introduction offers no payment, item rewards or profession unlock. You do not need to complete it to access work.
Closing a guidance page before confirming a stop does not complete it. Read the current journal step when you resume rather than repeat the entire introduction. It is fine to speak to someone or choose an activity instead of following the tour immediately.
See talking to people nearby for conversation, describing actions and leaving room for another person to respond.
Your first activity
The “Your first livelihood” journal guidance points towards the parcel collection point after the introduction. If no introduction is offered, the guidance may appear immediately. Near the collection point, F6 lets you ask about deliveries: read the terms before deciding whether to accept a task. Available deliveries may run out.
If a delivery is already active, follow that task rather than looking for a new one. After handing over the parcel, check your earnings in Belongings (F7). The journal may suggest viewing the nearby region-chart offer (F8), or earning more if a suitable delivery is available. These optional suggestions neither purchase the chart nor grant rewards.
After completing a delivery and buying the chart, guidance may continue towards gathering brushwood, then making charcoal once you have two bundles. Gathering and production are available without the chart: this optional route does not unlock activities or make them mandatory. If a delivery is already active, follow its task first.
See delivery, belongings and a first purchase for details.
Before ending the session
Check whether you have an active delivery or an action still awaiting its result. Keep track of the original recipient or collection point. On return, follow the saved task and resolve any uncertain result before starting a replacement. For a control you cannot find, use the contextual command reference.
